About The Event

You're invited to attend our Bring Your Business Idea to Life free training!


Do you have a great idea for a business but aren’t sure how to turn it into a profitable business venture? This FREE workshop is specifically designed for those who have a business idea and are ready to turn it into reality. Delivered both In-Person and Online.


WHAT TO EXPECT:

Here's a brief overview of what participants can expect from the workshop:


🌿The basics of what it takes to start and run a business

🌿How to create a business model and a plan to launch your business

🌿Where to access planning and startup resources

🌿How Business Link can help with your next steps


Participants will complete a one-page business outline and have access to additional materials and resources throughout the workshop. It is strongly recommended that participants attend live via computer to ensure they can complete the materials and interact with the facilitators and other attendees via video and audio.


TWO WAYS TO ATTEND: 👉 Online in your own space

👉 In-person at the Community Futures LSLR Office, located at 229 3 Ave NW, Suite 102, Slave Lake, T0G 2A1. This option is still online, but it’s a chance to network with other entrepreneurs


WHAT TO BRING:

⚙️Bring a device such as a tablet, cell phone or laptop and the charger

⚙️Bring a photo or short video – this could be of the outside or inside of your business, pictures of a display of your products, staff pictures, etc.

⚙️Bring a notebook and pen

We collect the following personal information from you:

  • Names

  • Email addresses

  • Phone numbers

  • Demographic information (e.g., date of birth, occupation)

  • Address

  • Gender Identity

 

Program-Specific Information collected:

For specific programs, we require additional personal information, including:

  • Race (as required by government funding partners)

  • Social Insurance Number (SIN) (as required by government funding partners, when or if a qualified participant)

  • Financial information (as required by government funding partners)

 

Data Security:

The Participant agrees that Community Futures Lesser Slave Lake Region and other service providers participating in any CFLSLR program may store Participant Data (including any Personal Data) in secure servers in Canada and may access that Participant Data (including any Personal Data) from these servers from time to time.

 

 

Your Consent:

By signing this document, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this disclaimer. You understand that your personal information will be protected in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act of Alberta and PIPEDA.

 

 

Data Retention:
