Are you trying to make your own resume and cover letter to apply for a job? Or do you need to refresh the resume you have already? Join us for a comprehensive workshop designed to help you craft standout job application materials!

Community Futures Slave Lake, in partnership with the Community Adult Learning Program (CALP), Alberta Government, and the Rotary Club of Slave Lake Public Library, is hosting a cover letter and resume writing workshop. This event will take place on September 12, 2024, with two sessions available: 1:00-4:00 PM or 5:00-8:00 PM, at the Rotary Club of Slave Lake Public Library, 50 Main St. SW, Slave Lake, AB.

What to Expect:

• Welcome & Introductions: We’ll begin with a brief introduction to the workshop.
• Cover Letter & Resume Writing: Participants will be guided through the process of how to create a cover letter and resume.
• Work Time: Participants will be given time to work on writing the cover letter and resume.
• Actionable Takeaways: Participants will leave the workshop with a completed cover letter and resume, which can be used to obtain potential employment.

• Refreshments: Light refreshments will be provided to participants. Please let us know if there are any dietary restrictions.
• Break time: There will be time to take a break.
