Today, we are pleased to introduce Noel Castro, the proud owner of Mugs and Dough Pizza in Peace River. Before his arrival in Canada, Noel obtained a degree in Hospitality Management in the Philippines. He spent many years in the hospitality industry and always excelled in the fast-paced environment of food and beverage businesses.


Through this experience, served as a stepping stone for him to secure employment in Canada, Noel joined a prominent hotel in Peace River, where he dedicated 14 years of his career managing various departments such as the restaurant, casino, and banquet services. Despite his successful career, Noel had a deep longing to become a business owner. While an Asian restaurant had long been their vision, fate took an unexpected turn when the opportunity arose to purchase Mugs and Dough Pizza in Peace River.


In November of 2022, Noel and his wife seized the chance to acquire the restaurant and started their entrepreneurial journey. While they possessed a vast array of skills and knowledge in the hospitality industry, Noel and his wife admit to lacking expertise in advertising and marketing. When they discovered the benefits of the Digital Economy Program. Without hesitation, they signed up and enrolled in the program.


Divine Kitchen, the lead of the Digital Economy Program, created their website, while Fatima - the Digital Service Squad coached Noel's wife on utilizing Canva and taught her different strategies for posting content. The couple quickly discovered the value of these resources and acquired the skills and knowledge they needed to improve their online presence.
