What is Lemonade Day?

Lemonade Day is a free, fun, experiential learning program that teaches Alberta youth how to start, own and operate their own business – a lemonade stand. Our local communities that participated in our region included Canyon Creek, Widewater, and Slave Lake.

Our mission is to help today’s youth become the business leaders, social advocates, community volunteers, and forward-thinking citizens of tomorrow...one lemonade stand at a time!

Lemonade Day is open to kids - from kindergarten to high school. Each child that registers attends Lemonade University where they receive a backpack with an Entrepreneur Workbook that teaches them the lessons of Lemonade Day like creating budgets, setting profit-making goals, serving customers, repaying investors, and giving back to the community. Along the way, they acquire skills in goal-setting, and problem-solving, to help gain self-esteem critical for future success.

The kiddos got to keep all the money they made and are encouraged to spend some, save some and share some. This years Lemonade Day took place on Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
