MOTHER’S DAY - SHOP LOCAL CAMPAIGN

Updated: May 3, 2023

Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and what better way to celebrate the occasion than by supporting our LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES! The Slave Lake community is coming together to launch an exciting Mother’s Day Shop Local Campaign, running from May 3rd - May 13th, 2023.

As we all know, small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and they have struggled tremendously throughout the pandemic. By supporting these businesses, you not only help them thrive, but also contribute to the overall health and growth of our community.

The Mother’s Day Shop Local Campaign will feature diverse local retailers, artisans, and restaurants, offering unique gifts and special promotions for Mother’s Day. Spoil your mom with delightful gifts such as homemade soaps, aromatic candles, custom-made bouquets, handmade jewelry, locally sourced gourmet treats, and many more. You’ll surely find something special for every Mom in your life in these participating businesses.

Shopping local not only means you’re supporting fellow community members but also offers numerous benefits for shoppers. You’ll enjoy personalized service, unique products not found in typical chain stores, and a sense of pride in supporting your local economy.

Plus, when you shop locally, you’re reducing your environmental footprint by reducing transportation emissions and packaging waste. Not to mention, shopping local creates a ripple effect- as small businesses prosper, they hire more employees and can contribute more taxes, benefiting our entire community.

Make this Mother’s Day extra special by purchasing a thoughtful gift from one of our local small businesses. By doing so, you can celebrate the occasion while positively impacting our community.

Mark your calendars for May 3rd - May 13th, 2023, and show your love for Mom by shopping local in Slave Lake!
