We Connect You With The Workforce You Need
The YESS/YOU program aims to foster rural economic growth by working closely with community and business leaders and creating sustainable, inclusive, and thriving communities.
The goal of this program is to pilot economic diversification strategies that focuses on community-led workforce support that focuses on upskilling and reskilling, wrap-around supports and work placements for youth from marginalized communities which includes people who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour), 2SLGBTQIA+, newcomers, older workers (55+), official language minority groups (French), persons with disabilities, and women.
How Does YESS/YOU Benefit Me As An Employer?
Participating in this program has several benefits for business owners/employers:

Employers can be eligible to receive up to $2,400 for wage subsidies for new employees in the program

Employers may participate in social justice training to better understand the barriers people from marginalized communities face and how they can support their employees

Employers will be provided resources to best enhance their ability to hire and retain youth workers.

Invitations to community job fair events and workforce development activities
